Fiber Optics

We produce garments with flexible glass or plastic fibers that can carry a light source across distant points. The light waves traveling through each fiber can be programmed for various intelligent applications, from displaying social notifications, to notifying us of changes in our vital signs.

LED lights are known for emitting a strong, white light that can be seen at extreme distances. LED lights can also be printed directly onto textile substrates in our printed electronics laboratory to create high-visibility wearable technology.
