    Best New Wearable Technology Device at 2017 IDTechEx Wearable USA Awards for SKIIN

    Each year at the IDTechEx Show!, two companies are honoured for their achievements in developing and commercialising different aspects of wearable technology. This year the awards were judged by Dr. Akira Sakaigawa (Huawei), Chris Chin (HTC Vive) and Heidi Dohse (Google) with support from the independent analyst team with IDTechEx Research.

    As the ecosystem around various wearable products matures at different rates, significant developments at both the product and component level that are required to move the market towards the next generation. Both the high volume and wide diversity of applicants to the award reflected the ongoing spirit within this industry, and the judges commented on the difficulties selecting just two winners from a list of impressive achievements (Read more).


    Gadgets of the month: SKIIN Smart Underwear

    Every month Wearable Technologies selects an innovative and/or even game-changing product as wearable Gadget of the Month.



    On April 20th, 2016, The Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association (CPEIA) held it’s inaugural CPES Innovation Awards. It features two award categories to recognize achievements in research innovation and industrial commercialization.

    The 2016 Innovation Award for Industrial Commercialization was bestowed to Myant for it’s VX360 (formerly Vagalume) collection, a brand of clothing and accessories to enhance visibility using Myant’s electroluminescent technology.
